Well, even if things are going really well, we are looking at what could be improved upon so that we can perform and serve our client better. In a nutshell, ISO 9001 is the standard outlining the requirements an organization’s quality management system must meet or exceed to be certified.
What does ISO 9001:2015 mean?
Being ISO 9001:2015 certified means that our QMS drives the 3 key principles of ISO 9001:
- Apply risk-based thinking to trigger process of making improvements before problems occur to prevent issues from happening.
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset: plan, do, check and act (PDCA)
- Understand the cost of poor quality (COPQ) because true quality is about risk prevention – designing in quality – and not corrective action.
